Question by Marcus B: How do you update your iphones software?
HOW DO YOU UPDATE YOU IPHONESOFTWARE SO THAT YOU CAN CUSTOMIZE YOU HOME SCREEN
Answer by JazzerMe You need to have the latest iPhone software to customize your iPhone Home screen.
When you connect your iPhone to iTunes, if you do not have the latest software it will prompt you to download and install it. It can take as long as 1/2 hour to complete the download and installation. Just leave the phone alone until it tells you it’s done.

Question by ~~Foshizzle my Nizzle~~: I have an Ipod, it is about 2 yrs old. I had the software downloaded on my computer but have since got a new?
computer and can not find the software to install on my new computer.
I plugged it in to my new comp. to charge it, which it did but it deleted all of my music and now just the generic crap that was on it when I bought it is on there and my library is empty of all my music.
Can anyone tell me how I can fix this and if I can download the software from somewhere for it since I cant find the disc ( I checked the apple site already and couldnt find anything). I dont even remember how I installed my music, lol. Can you walk me through that too……Thanks
Answer by I Like Stories Your explanation is confusing.
The software you need to operate your iPod is iTunes. You can download iTunes from www.apple.com. This is ONLY for an iPod. If your music player is anything put an Apple iPod, you don’t use iTunes.
By default a computer without iTunes wouldn’t recognize an iPod when attached, therefore it wouldn’t remove/change the music on your iPod.
If you’ve lost the music that was on the iPod, the only way to get it back is from the “old computer”. If you don’t have the old computer, or you’ve reformatted the hard drive on the old computer you are SOL>
Thought you would love this too. If you wish to check out, this is the official website.
iPod Software Downloads
The iPod device, especially iPod Touch is a powerful media device.
Other than playing music and videos, you can run different apps or software on it. For example, you can use it to play games, convert it into a camera, sync your songs with your computer without using iTunes using iPod Agent, connect it to your social network or even convert it into a gps portal.
However to do so, you will need powerful iPod software from third-parties. Here's a really cool site that provides tons of third-party iPod software.
